It is registered as Agents specialised in the sale of other particular products and Agents involved in the sale and trading of a variety of goods including specialty active ingredient and raw material used in daily usage in personal care, home care, sun care, daily used consumables, etc,
Operating on a commission or contract basis, the company acts as an intermediary between principals- manufacturers/suppliers/traders and buyers - distributors, wholesalers, retail or end users. Identify, approach, and onboard manufacturers or suppliers seeking representation in the UK, EU, or global markets.

Source and evaluate new product lines suitable for the agency’s portfolio.

Develop and maintain buyer networks across multiple sectors and geographies.

Negotiate agency representation terms, commission structures, and supply contracts.

Facilitate end-to-end sales execution by aligning suppliers and buyers, ensuring transparent terms, efficient logistics, accurate export documentation, and smooth post-sale coordination.

Maintain an updated pipeline of active opportunities, principal relationships, and order progress.

Conduct market research to identify demand trends, pricing shifts, & emerging product opportunities.

Represent the business in trade fairs, supplier meetings, & buyer negotiations.
Proven ability to close deals, manage contract terms, and secure favourable agreements for all parties.
Skilled in identifying new business opportunities, market expansion, and portfolio diversification.
Strong understanding of pricing models, margins, trade terms, and international market dynamics.
Ability to nurture long-term relationships with suppliers, distributors, and stakeholders.
Effective communicator in commercial negotiations and formal reporting.
Ability to analyse trends, assess product potential, and identify gaps in the supply chain.
Competence in managing logistics, documentation, and trade compliance.
Experience in cross-border communication & international client handling across UK and EU markets.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to drive business growth, expand market presence, and manage strategic accounts for SJBP across the UK and EU. The Business Development Manager will act as a key commercial intermediary—bridging principals (suppliers/manufacturers) and buyers (distributors, retailers, importers)—to facilitate successful commercial transactions and build long-term partnerships across a wide range of product categories.
The position requires strong business acumen, a proactive approach to market development, and the capability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities that support SJBP’s strategic growth objectives.
SJBP offers Competitive salary + performance incentives based, maximum up to £60,000 per annum, based on experience.
